Our Story
Ember & Oak began in 2021 when childhood friends Maya and Jordan started making candles in Maya's garage on a rainy Chicago weekend. What started as a hobby quickly became an obsession — and then a business.
Today, every candle is still hand-poured in our Logan Square studio using 100% domestically sourced soy wax. We formulate every fragrance ourselves, blending premium oils until each scent tells a story. No shortcuts. No mass production. Just craft.
